Phil Gilbert-Smith

Since I left school I have always worked in industries that focus on people. I started my career as a police officer working in a busy station dealing with all aspects of policing, I was also the cadet training officer developing teenagers who wanted to join the police when they turned 18, this was where my love for developing people began.

I left the police and set up my own business developing Directors and Managers, after a number of years I sold this business and went to work for The Leadership Trust where I stayed for 15 years. I was responsible for developing new business and growing existing clients as well as course directing training programmes. in 2017 I made the decision to branch out on my own and to add Mental Health First Aid and Civil and Commercial Mediation into my skill sets.

I am passionate about development, I want to continue to make a real difference to people's lives and help people to be the best they can, to unlock the talent that we don't always know we have. My style is very warm and inclusive and hopefully energetic, training should be fun not hard.
